Service Learning

One of my most rewarding jobs is that of Girl Scout Volunteer. I’m a leader of a Cadette troop of 7th Graders, many of whom have been with us since 1st Grade. I also volunteer at the Service Unit level, most recently as a Service Unit Manager.

This year, I’m taking on a new position, that of Leadership Development Coordinator. As it is a new position, there is no official job description. Generally, I’ll help volunteers think of ways to incorporate the Girl Scout Leadership Model (Discover, Connect, Take Action) when planning activities to ensure that we are providing increased opportunities for girl-led activities that include elements of the leadership keys and outcomes.
