It seems many of us are feeling the exact same way! I am swamped with just the one blog, and feel like my constant distraction is taking its toll on my family. It’s not easy to balance parenthood and career goals.

It’s been a great year of blogging, but it’s been on my mind more and more lately that many of the people I’m trying to reach do not even read blogs! So, I’m currently thinking about whether I want to keep focusing on the online audience, or read out to people in my local area. I can’t commit myself to both.

Whatever happened to doing one thing, and doing it really well? It’s just not enough anymore. If you build it, they won’t come unless you’re really good at promoting yourself!

I think we all need to take a break from thinking once in a while. Writing blog posts can be mentally exhausting! During those breaks, I come up with some of my best ideas.

Thank you for sharing what you’re going through right now. You’re certainly not alone.

Sandra…you’ve put into words what I’ve been feeling for some time now…and I think many have been feeling as well. Being able to break away from the computer has been my goal as well. It really can seem like a time waster. I just have to keep what works for me and let go of what doesn’t. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Guys! It’s so true that any of these endeavors can be major time sucks, so it’s wise to limit projects. Hopefully, there will be time enough in a lifetime to do all the things that are truly worth doing.

Even the title made me giggle because I can so relate!

I have no idea how people do more than one blog as I have a hard enough time keeping up with one. It’s not the writing that is hard but the links, pictures, research, and promoting that takes up the time.

Lately I also feel like I’m using a megaphone on Twitter. I don’t have time to read all the posts of the people I follow. I also read articles found on Twitter which takes time. So reading what friends or people like you with shared interests of mine have to say competes with news article reading time etc. Twitter is a time suck for me so I usually go there, post something, and leave, meaning I can’t read a ton there.

I have wanted to do writing projects but just can’t do it with homeschooling my kids and volunteering. I am busy enough with the blog.

I only do 2 FB games and am about to quit one out of boredom. The other is losing interest too.
