Blog Action Day Is A Family Tradition

Three years ago, when we were just starting our blogs, the kids and I began participating in Blog Action Day.  We were drawn to the idea that for one day, we could join thousands of bloggers to change our world.

Each of us does something different.  We have different opinions, or understanding, about these issues.  Sometimes the kids are just learning about the global problem, and sometimes it’s a cause that draws us again, and again.

This year, since the Blog Action Day issue is Climate Change, the kids decided to post their summer journal entries from our summer trip to Glacier National Park.

It’s a perfect choice since the park is facing losing it’s namesake by 2030 due to global warming.  And, both kids certainly picked up a lot of information about Climate Change while completing the Junior Ranger programs in the park.

However, I have to admit, you’d have to read deep, deep, deep between the lines to discover any reference to the melting glaciers.

I guess I’ll just take heart in that they learned enough, and cared enough, to share their Glacier National Park experience with the world (even if one of the posts is a complete work of fiction!)
