Oh, no. Teens and Tweens are rarely easy, even when you offer them something you know they want! Even my younger son, who was so eager to go on this trip, suffers occasional bouts of homesickness. It's mostly good times. I think/hope that we're growing closer, spending so much time getting to know each other better, bonding through amazing adventures and book discussions.
