Recharge Your Writing: Go Play Outside

by Sandra Foyt on November 9, 2008 in family, field trips, writing | 2 Comments

After several hours, or days, writing nonstop, I’m zapped.  I’m like a blank computer that won’t start, no matter which buttons you push, it’s done.  This condition is what I like to refer to as “Fried Brain Syndrome.”

I have many ways of coping with the dreaded disease: junk TV, escapist fiction, and outdoor play.  They all work to clear my mind, and allow room for creative thought.

In a previous post, I wrote about Fried Brain Fridays, but today I’m going to skip the words and just show you how we recharge outdoors.

How are you recharging during NaNoWriMo and NaBloPoMo?

I was hoping you’d notice my magnificent water dog! Seems he only likes to go in when it’s freezing cold.
