For my mom friends, many of whom may have just mastered Google Searches and Email, I thought you might get a laugh out of The Twitter Song. In the lyrics, Ben Walker claims:

You’re no one if you’re not on Twitter…

It’s not true. You are someone, an important someone, whom I’d love to get to know better. Join me on Twitter where you can follow me, lots of other great Twitter Moms, or learning professionals. Whatever industry you’re in, you’ll find your peers on Twitter.

For example, I wanted to connect with other Girl Scout Leaders so I used the Find People tab to get to the Search feature where I inputted “Girl Scouts.” I found 43 Twitter Folks who have listed “Girl Scouts” in their Profile, and then it was just a matter of choosing whom to follow based on their biographical information. Easy, peasy!

I’ve also searched for homeschoolers, digital natives, social media experts – anyone who I think is worth following. We’re chatting, sharing resources, turning to the experts with questions, even hanging out on the weekly Twitter Social Girl’s Night Out.
