A Jewel Of A Wedding At The Atlantis

heather_wd25 Did you hear Jewel eloped to the Atlantis?

If you’re like me, probably not.  I don’t follow celebrity gossip, and don’t really know anything about the singer.

However, Jewel’s wedding took place just before the one we were attending at The Atlantis resort in the Bahamas, and it was performed by the same minister.

No, we attended the non-celebrity wedding, but it was just as special and beautiful.  Nearly 60 of Heather and Jorge’s friends and family joined them at an ocean-side wedding in this idyllic Caribbean resort.

Heather’s wedding was so special, in fact, that it poured rain during the open-air ceremony, ensuring maximum fertility on the couple.  We’re expecting twins, at least.

heather_wd2 For our family, it was a bittersweet experience as we watched our daughter’s first babysitter, Heather, getting married, already?!

And, we realized that our daughter is now the same age as Heather was when she first burst into our lives with a huge smile, and offers of free childcare.

Little did we know, that we weren’t just accepting her babysitting services, but we were also forging a family bond.

Heather, thank you for adding so much joy and love through our extended family.  And yes, Kayla can’t wait to practice her babysitting skills on your children!

The one babysitter that I ever had that was not one of my brothers got married this summer. She was also a great family friend, and I know what you mean. “What? Kozi getting married? This can’t be happening! They grow up so fast!”
