Learn, Grow, Explore, Change the World

Recent reports indicate that adopting a healthy, active life style will help reduce the greenhouse gas emissions that are increasing global warming.
Want to help Save Earth? Lose some weight, a recent Times Union article, describes the obesity and climate change connection and suggests that replacing driving with walking, and eliminating a meat diet, can have a significant impact on the environment.
Our Girl Scouts did their part to help save the earth by going for a hike in Mt. Greylock, MA on Veteran’s Day. Girls in 1st-6th grade hiked the 1.8 mile Bradley Farm Trail. This easy self-guided interpretive trail is an excellent place to introduce hiking. The girls thoroughly enjoyed their outing while gaining an appreciation for the beauty of our state parks and the pleasure of hiking.
These Girl Scouts will change the world, one step at a time.
