I’ve been considering homeschooling myself and came across your page. I was especially interested in your section on writing, as I’ve done some writing myself and know how important it is.

Of course, reading is vital as well! And obviously, one thing we people who want to or do homeschool think is really important is structuring the learning to fit the child/dren. One of my teacher friends has recommended a book called “Differentiating Reading Instruction,” by Laura Robb. It’s very practical and hands-on, with plenty of strategies, tips and even assessments. She’s got another book, on teaching reading while using the differentiated approach, due out soon. That book even has a section on journal writing, which I am really excited about.
